Jobsite Rules
Jobsite rules may be used as toolbox talks but Jobsite Rules take the compliance issue they cover one step further.  Jobsite rules are specific rules that must be complied with on your jobsite (i.e. 100% fall protection required) and include reasons for the rules and possible hazard consequences of not following the rules.  The jobsite rules on this website contain minimum recommendations by TCA
SM and may meet or exceed regulatory duty as established by OSHA, but are still not considered all-inclusive and cannot be relied upon as the only rules which may be necessary to maintain safety on your jobsite.  You still maintain the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all safe practices needed to ensure safety on your jobs are implemented.  Jobsite Rules are not to be used to replace more extensive training or credentialing on any of the subjects covered.  They are simply a statement of minimum performance requirements imposed by the employer for the jobsite in question.

These website Jobsite Rules may be downloaded and customized to your operation---for instance, you may want to add to the hazard consequences some operational consequences, such as being removed from your jobsite for non-compliance.  TCASM recommends that you do not reduce the minimum requirements for your jobsite contained in these website documents unless you are doing so by relying on the advice of an attorney, a certified safety professional or some other qualified third party outside of TCASM.

Power Point Presentations

Toolbox Talks
Toolbox Talks are a broad, general discussion of the safety topic that the toolbox talk addresses (such as ladder safety.)  A Toolbox Talk does not address the regulatory duty in the law and cannot be relied upon as a full discussion of the safety topic at hand.  A Toolbox Talk is simply a reminder, or “heads up” awareness talk about a safety subject to employees who actually already have had extensive training or received the appropriate credential for the safety subject being discussed.
